You will never be able to stop cheating as it is. So the best thing you can do is provide the tools for your community.

Here is what is actually going on:

Secure Boot and TPM are not used to detect cheats, that's on the game and anti-cheat system itself, what these 2 things do is to identify a person by hardware (motherboard+CPU) and then make it easy to ban their entire PC.

TPM has a hardware coded key that can only be accessed through Secure Boot, this hardware key cannot be modified or replicated, it can only be accessed by Windows Secure Boot, and it's tied to your entire hardware.

Once a cheater is found, the idea is to ban the user and their CPU from accessing their servers, so the only solution left for a cheater is to buy a new PC, or just don't cheat.

Reading this sub lately feels like watching a bunch of people try to use a smartphone for the first time and complain it doesn't have physical buttons. Every minor change in Battlefield 6 is getting blown up into some catastrophic betrayal.

It’s pretty clear most people here only ever liked one Battlefield game, hated the rest, and don’t even play the one they claim was perfect anymore.

Before we continue: I am old. I’ve played every Battlefield game during its prime. Back in the day, my clan was one of the first to spin up a Desert Combat server (and even then, the community was the same complaining that DC was an abomination against what made BF great). My least played title was BF Vietnam because the 1942 modding scene was just TOO good at the time to move on.

Depends on the type of cheating. For ESP cheating you want to avoid sending information about where other players are until they're close, but even that doesn't stop it. For things like God mode / fly mode etc it's a matter of making sure the server validates input from the client, so they can't send shit like "I teleport to location XYZ" . Even streaming the game to users (like Stadia) doesn't work because you could still implement aimbots that detect the location of players from the video stream and auto snaps the mouse to where to shoot. I think silent detection and putting people in cheater lobbies is the way to go, and statistical analysis like Valve is doing with credibility scores. I don't play online games anymore, too many cunts spinbotting shooting everyone

These beta maps? They feel more like Grand Bazaar, Talah Market, or Pearl Market. Maps that still get voted into rotation by players who actually enjoy close-quarters fights to this day.

Battlefield 6 isn’t perfect.
But take a step back, and you’ll see this is actually a successor to BF3/BF4. TTK, movement speed, and mechanics are all in line with a proper mainline BF title.

They gave you almost everything you asked for… and somehow, that’s still not enough for some of you.
