Being worse than the previous game. Who knows maybe they'll even add difficulty level sliders and give you more carts to make sure people who do not care about the franchise buy the next game and spend money on dlc outfits.

This. It'll be Doom: The Dark Ages where you can customize the hunts. Sliders will make monster attacks slow down to a crawl with parry windows lasting as long as 10 seconds.

End of 2026 is about the earliest they can possibly put it unless they want to completely uproot their entire release schedule to try to fix the Wilds blunder. Their arrogant assumption that Wilds would be able to stand on its own for close to two years and planning around that might've totally fucked them.
