Anyway, when will Nightdive stop rereleasing shit we already have good fan ports for and give us Alone in the Dark remasters? These are still confined to the DosBox and they're buggy as hell. Some improved controls and upscaling could do wonders for these games.

It's well written with good voice acting for the time and a nice bit of atmosphere throughout, but obviously, the 3D graphics are extremely limited so that may make it difficult to play. It's a landmark title all the same.

Slapping an "official" label on fan ports is almost their entire business model. Why waste time and money on development when fans have already done most of the work for free?

I hate when people do this shit. Just because you cheated yourself out of the authentic experience by using guides/mods/save states doesn't mean you have to tell others to do the same. The game is perfectly playable on its own for anyone that's interested.

There is no reason to play it for the same reason there is no reason to play the first "games" made with radar equipment when pong exists, or the first 3d platformer ever made according to Guinness book of world records outside of curiosity.
