I quit several years ago and reinstalled like 3 months ago because it's literally the only thing my phone can run anymore, even PGO was taken away because they updated it to not run on 32x.
The game is basically just a mess of "idk why this is happening" rocket tag where most competent units deal 99x2 damage and you can see the better tanks eat a 99x4 with zero fucking damage. There's so many different effects and %-based calculations going off in each combat that it's untenable to try thinking about it when I can just throw my fancy Legendary Black Knight at it and win, or obliterate an entire crowd of enemies with my 5-move Emblem Sigurd that acts 3 times a turn and AoEs their health to 1 before every combat. When I left my Fallen Edelgard squad was king, but now even with her refine she's considered unplayable dogshit.
It's kinda like YGO but with more (less) reading and confusion, and more explosive boardwipes.

This is an issue too. You can't even rely on intuition for a lot of stuff because kits are so bloated. If you told me back in 2019 a flying green axe with no armor slayer could ever beat a def maxxed red sword armor, I'd laugh at you.

Also I forgot to say the other reason I quit was movement creep. It got steadily worse over the years to the point now units are literally dashing/teleporting across the entire map AND BACK for free. I just couldn't be assed to keep up with the rocket tag anymore since it doesn't even feel like Fire Emblem anymore.

It's more that said green axe has uhhh...Bride Catria's duo effect (Desperation+extra followup) baked in and ignores all damage reduction. She also can literally teleport all the way across the map because at the start of the turn she farts on an enemy and can jump to the closest fart cloud in 5 spaces. Anything with No Quarter, a premium special, can actually kill him, as can some blue tanks if they don't attack him first, and anything with a Scowl skill and 55 or so Res (stops his special). The LBK's biggest thing is that he heals 40% of his HP at the start of combat and 7 on hit so you have these retarded LBK vs LBK slapfights in Arena where he just overheals any damage dealt and can't break the other's near-100% DR shield without his special.
I enjoy it not because it's good, but because it's silly and to be brutally honest, low effort. I can quietly raise my Nephenee in the background and collect units I'll never use with meh kits while unga'ing everything with Duo Rhea and LBK or Emblems/cavs

The confessions dont happen in exactly the same place like previous FE supports (Goddess Tower, barracks) and many of them build on supports unlike many of 3H (I think only Mercedes references any previous support) ones.
Some are nice like Pannette uneasy because her parents eventually separated so she is afraid that will happen to her or Celine feeling down for ordering that massacre and Alear offers her support.

Even in Conquest where they are pretty much mentally raped by Azura into doing shitty decisions, Corrin does actually have good lines and a strong sense of conviction that makes them almost compelling. They just lack good antagonists to bounce off their ideas, including Xander, Ryoma, and Azura, and the way the routes are split means you don't get to see when they stand their ground or grow as a person as much. Far from the best lord, but honestly I can see why people would like them as a player in their own story.

I talk about the launch meta and not the month after (Thank god) because this started off with a want for a FEH Classic. If going by WoW Classic rules, it goes from in order. And FEH from Year 1 is a miserable time in retrospect.
Things clear up by June to August with stuff like the Slaying Weapons, the Year 1 Bride banner, Brave Heroes, and weapon refinery + cleaning. But we still had to fight shit like Reinhardt, Hector getting the Omnibreaker setup with Wary Fighter's introduction, Brave Lyn having no counterplay until Dancer Inigo of all things, and omnitank Ayra just sat in a corner and fought off pretty much everything for months. And in Arena in particular, there was pretty much no supports thanks to how much they tanked your score, so there weren't any good strategies.

Maybe we can skip to Year 2 or 3 of FEH if we are talking about "the good ol' days!!!" when there's actually interesting shit to play around with. Infantry Pulse, Shield Pulse, double Wrath setups, actually good effective weapons, beast units, true damage scaling, Legendary Heroes like Eirika and Marth, the one good staff that was Brave Veronica. But even then, I just think FEH became interesting a game when they started introducing stuff Tier 4 skills and the YGO walls of effect text.

The worst part about modern units being so stacked and coming with entire kits complete (except for Assist skills for whatever annoying, moneygrubbing reasons) is that there's not much point in making such fun meme builds. Even with stat-stacked units, they usually are better off with their base kit a lot of the times. And if you are building up a generic unit that lacks such, they tend to get so cookie cutter in options. Laguz Friend is an important skill for infantry units but it really did took up MONTHS of airtime, for example. I may not like Year 1 metas, but there was some genuinely fun stuff out there.

The last few months might change some stuff, between Emblem Micaiah, generic weapons that grant extra actions, more B and C skills like Potent Assault and Potent Finish, and Attuned Leif's Echo letting anyone hit the necessary True Damage numbers to pierce the absurd tanks around. Still, there definitely something of a lost era in unit builds as generic weapons became outclassed and they never bothered to pick them up in effect numbers. Even Arcane weapons have fallen in the wayside somewhat, so it does just feel like build autists like myself are falling in alongside such.

Nintendo hasn't made a new fucking Fire Emblem announcement and yet we're seeing the anime PNG-slop FEH declining in views and sales to the point the story of Kiran and his army will come at a end at book 10 which means that the FEH may go EOS or stop making new units so they can follow up with a Switch 2 adaptation of FEH and later a 3D Fire Emblem mobile game that could be either a card game, a GPS game, or even it may be a sequel to FEH.

The first Fire Emblem Warriors game was almost the best Fire Emblem game on Switch but executed poorly because of the roster decisions, the lack of non-combat content in it, and the game also being on the new 3DS which it could had been a lot more better if it had 1-2 more years of development time and cancelled the new 3DS version entirely it would had been a lot better than Fire Emblem Warriors three hopes of all things.

The one thing that the next mainline Fire Emblem should do is to be a SRPG+ARPG hybrid game, so that Koei Tecmo don't have to rely on just making new Fire Emblem Warriors games based on their mainline Fire Emblem games they worked with IntSys.

As of the remakes, I wanted IntSys to remake every single FE game before creating a new FE game that has a story taking place in a new world.

And of course the animation and artstyle of Fire Emblem games, it really needed to be changed to be like Guilty Gear Strive's and focus heavily on character expression.

On average if your non-green tank has enough bulk to Scowl a LBK you can probably survive a special from him. I use LFae, who's massively outdated, and she does fine even without a Scowl but she doesn't do enough to actually kill him sometimes.

Chain challenge is like 8 for each paralogue duo, and like 10 for story chapters. Squad Assault is like two per.
So like 1,000.
Just reroll for Young Camilla, grab Felix and Gullveig, do the content, and use the orbs to get Baldr and Maid Veronica.

You mostly get it for Binding Blade because ROYS OUR BOY (until you actually play his game) and BB is so...nothing a game? BB can benefit from more content while still being accessible and true to form (though anything about 70% hit rates would betray that game's flow...).

All of them are weird and hard to approach, to be fair. FE3 still have the weird FE1 jank attached like Weapon Levels and manaketes forms and dismounting. Genealogy is Genealogy. And Thracia is the most normal out of the bunch but it does not want to look like it with how actively hostile it can be to newbs. The SNES trilogy is just goofy, I don't blame people for being hesitant. Even if FE3 is like the best one.

It is mainly in Arena than other modes where this is the problem. Because of how compromised your teambuilding have to be there and all his counters not scoring so well, you do run into an issue where it can just be incredibly difficult to actually kill him thanks to his Imbue healing. I run a Winter Eik there just to gank him and even then he sometimes sneaks kills in.
Other modes, he is a lot easier to deal with but I do sympathize with those that struggle to.

Every FE game is CRIPPPLED with some major flaw that makes approaching them difficult. This is genuinely one of the least polished Nintendo franchise and kind of does coast on the goodwill of the brand and the pretty paltry selection of worthy (console) SRPGs. Keep an eye out for Duo Ingrid at least. She's kind of a cuckoo-bananas offensive unit that does a shit ton. Having and giving out Reflex, a lot of damage reduction, drops flame tiles, have an extra action with assist skills, and plenty of damage ramp up makes her quite a strong cav unit. Probably not NECESSARY, but likely something that wreck you if you aren't prepared.
Teatime Veronica is also pretty good if you don't have Attuned Tharja. Absurd damage reduction numbers means she can check a lot of tanks.
