The story, characters, and presentation are also bad. It looks like halloween spirit took a shit, and the lore for every character who isnt johnny cage is my village was killed Shaq cum or whoever, now i need revenge but im also evil now

The music used to be fucking great until the reboot trilogy for some reason. I have no idea what happened. MK2, 4 and DA in particular have fantastic soundtracks.
