once you're past the beginning you get introduced to the switcheroo goo in the divide layer which is one of the best ideas I've seen in a platformer and then the freezer and forest layers are full of new mechanics: crumbling bridges, molten chocolate and poison water as environmental hazards forcing you to be more cautious with your destruction, the icecube dispensers, the seeds making vines pop out of wooden surfaces, the bouncy rubber etc etc
