Yeah, I figured it was probably a while ago. The only reason I could see them having that attitude now is either trying to keep it under wraps that it's where FH6 is set or they feel like it's played out.

I wish the indie scene would hurry up and make a need for speed clone. Y'know, where the focus isn't on racing but driving cool looking cars around cool looking street tracks. We've gone past the outrun clone stage but it seems indie devs doing totally-not-5th gen games are mostly focusing on platformers.

Fun physics for cruising, surprisingly deep drifting mechanics and some of the best dirt and offroad racing in a game not dedicated to it. Also, being rewarded for doing dumb shit like off roading in a seven figure hypercar or launching it off a cliff.

forza horizon is shit no matter the location. i havent been playing racing games in years and once every 6 months i turn on fh5 to do some of the challenges and in the time trials i end up in the top 1000 everytime after doing 3 rounds. that shows you how shit this game really is

honeymoon phase with gran turismo 7 is done and I hate how every event is just 3-5 laps to go from last place to the guy -30 ahead in first place
still enjoying myself. My carfu gt40 left the legends shop before I had the money to get it though :(

if you guys have a wheel, pedals and handbrake do yourselves the favor of downloading and installing the rallysimfans mod for richard burns rally. just go to their site and follow the instructions. it changed the way I view racing games, I've never felt more immersed in a racing game, all the force feedback of a powerful rally car on a narrow messy european dirt road feels amazing, and it's fucking hard. yes it looks like shit but the mod quality actually bumps it up quite a bit, like modded tracks look pretty damn good for how old this thing is. it's consumed me for a week straight just trying to be consistent through ONE rally.
