They would need to just rebuild them from scratch again but they aint doing that for us old farts cause theres not a lot of money in that so i guess they tried with these remakes. HotD1 remake was okay but the 2nd one was pretty bad. at this point, I would rather they just port the Wii versions to consoles and figure out a way to get the resolution up to 1080p at least.

Oh i also wanted to say...House of the Dead as a series doesnt have a bad game to me, i liked all of them. apparently there was a game called "Scarlett" i never played that one

HotD Scarlet Dawn is alright from what I remember of my one playthrough of it. Still leaves the series open for at least one more game to finish off the last few tarot bosses, since I think there's still High Priestess and Devil left now.

Deadstorm Pirates with my friend in an arcade is unironically one of our favorite pasttimes to just try to hit the high score on since we know the whole game back to front now, at least the original version. The expanded version's stages we haven't played more than once or twice. I recently saw some new Kaiju-themed rail shooter while I was in NJ, it seemed like fun from what I played of it. Fought a giant crocodile rampaging through Egypt or something like that.

Overall they're fairly similar, and you could easily just call them both the same. I would argue that a light gun game has you holding a physical gun, though, and a rail shooter more than likely has you sitting down and holding some sort of turret-shaped peripheral instead.

To this day I still havent played hotd 4 and 5 in pc, do they even have a port for it or its just another console only vidya because if its the latter then its sucks and I dont know if it can be emulated. I mean, I cant even play hotd 1 anymore due to (((system incompatibility))) and if I had to use Vbox for it, I think that'll be too much of a hassle for me

Lost World without a doubt. I spent over 200 dollars to get two sinden guns so I can now play it whenever I want on my lcd tv without any compromises. It’s been great as I’ve discovered a ton of other light gun games. I’m still waiting for the day until silent scope 1 and 2 can be played with light guns though, as those are my next most favorite games.

Silent scope really doesn't have a good home version for a reason, and that's not even counting the weird shit with the LCD overlay in bone eater.

Golgo 13 can be emulated and plays good enough with a light gun. You just click a button to alternate screen modes. I know it's nowhere near the authentic feeling of the real arcade, but I want to be able to at least play Silent Scope 1&2 with my sindens. Neither the ps2 nor dreamcast ports are compatible with light guns, and while there might be hope for it on the xbox port, it's not yet compatible with my sinden guns.

It is. We played it 3 players. Namco's Lucky and Wild. You share a life bar. Drive to avoid obstacles, gunfire, and hazzards, and to stay on the road. I THINK the enemies needed more time to do damage if they were at a bad angle or you were evading, but it's so hectic it's hard to track.

I was fortunate enough to play golgo 13 in the arcades, and no, the light guns do not do it justice. You're supposed to shoot with fine motions with your arms supported on a platform, and in some levels, spot things with your off scope eye, while lining up your shot. It's like comparing the terminator 2 joystick gun with a gamepad.

Still, an emulated lightgun is better than nothing.
