>My father was a musician in Stalingrad. During the German occupation, the sound of his violin filled the air with magnificent music, Korsakov, Stasov, many of the great nationalist composers. To my countrymen, it was a symbol of hope. To the Germans, it was a symbol of defiance. Even now, his music still haunts me.
>The Nazis slit his throat while he slept.
>Collaborating with any Nazi is a betrayal, a betrayal against all of Mother Russia. Dragovich and Kravchenko were not troubled by such matters. They looked only to advance towards their own interests and agendas.
>The men and I had fought through the most bitter of winters on the Eastern Front, but we were no strangers to the cold. Even now, the blood in my veins chills when I think back to the events of that day...Far, far from home...
>>717717360Possibly the funniest webm of the 21st century.
>>717717360Show this to a COD player who woke up from a coma from 2010
>>717720151You don't wake up after 15 years in a coma
>>717717041 (OP)MY FATHER WAS BLACK

BELIEVE ME MY FRIEND, IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER
>>717717041 (OP)Got what he deserved, russian pond scum.
>>717717041 (OP)Victor Reznov....
My friend...
Black Ops was so good bros, I miss it
>>717717041 (OP)sometimes I am just minding my business and "IN VORKUTA, WE ARE ALL BROTHERS." randomly appears in my mind.
>>717721570Based
>>717722241My favorite was always ASCEND FROM DARKNESS.
Just a kino line, especially as all of you literally rise from the dark tunnels and run toward freedom
>>717717041 (OP)sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh tf is unc waffling about sybau
>>717717360now this is bussin
>>717717041 (OP)BO1 is the only cod campaign I'd say is worth it. I never understood why so many people latched onto MW (it's a pretty basic whatever story about brown people and terrorism) or why they say BO2 is at the level of BO1 (it isn't)
>>717723348BO2โs plot is stupid with a villain who just pulls invincibility spells outta his ass
>>717723348BO1 is cool, but for my money WAW is the undisputed GOAT of COD campaigns.
>>717717360the slowdown before the slap makes me laugh so fuckin hard
>>717723547Getting caught was part of his plan
>>717721570For me its
NOW... WE TAKE... VORKUTA!!!!!
>>717723547He had insiders everywhere anon. Outside of his mission giving you invincibility for gameplay reasons, I never felt that he had bullshit plot armor. Even the interrogation room scene was part of his plan and he always had someone relaying all your intel to him. The game actually expects you to pay attention to detail to catch these things.
>>717729590i wont ignore his invincibility. it was retarded
>>717723547It's not that bad, and he's a pretty good villain. If you want to know what real plot armor looks like play Ghosts (on the second thought, don't).
>>717717360literally the greatest WEBM to ever exist
I wish that Black Ops 4 fake leak was real, would've given closure to Reznov and that one squaddie from 2 who straight up disappeared. With how every Black Ops game had this theme of mindfuckery and straight up fuckery of some aspect, would've been horrifying to see the cyberneticized corpse of a grampa controlling your squadmate, trying to reconnect with a Mason because he couldn't find the same Mason that escaped Vorkuta
But sure I'll take Beavis and Butthead too, I'm just happy Mike Judge keeps getting funding to animate his dumbasses. I just wish they don't keep switching platforms.
>>717723348this.
It's the last CoD that feels like it had genuine soul. Everything after felt like bottom of the barrel trash to appeal to normalfags, which ultimately lead to
>>717717360>>717723547Menendez really didn't age well as a villain. People dog on MW2 for having a ridiculous plot where Russia just straight up invades America out of nowhere but the plot of BO2 is even more ridiculous than that.
>>717729892God, don't remind of Ghosts
>>717717360cant stop fucking laughing at this
>>717717360as a boomer who started with COD before it had any tagline
KEKKK
>>717723348CoD4 is genuinely the best modern military campaign out there. It's not downright obvious propaganda like MW2 and it's also not too preachy like Spec Ops The Line. It trusts the player to be cognisant enough to make their own conclusions about what's happening in the game, with only the nuke scene being outright preachy because nukes le bad.
It's absolutely better than MW2 and MW3
>>717717360the WEBM that destroyed /v/
>>717717360I'm so glad I don't play trash games
>>717717360Unironically makes me wanna try the game
Remember when Call of Duty games hired people like David Goyer to write the story AND hired real actors instead of cheap not-sound-alikes?
>For three days, I have hunted him.
>For three days, luck alone has saved his wretched life.
>>717717360CoD's playerbase must be a weird mix of gen alpha, zoomers and millennials.
Ia BO1 the best CoD campaign? MW2 2009 has incredible levels and operates on entertain cartoon meets propaganda meets military industrial complex logic, CoD4 has genuine commentary and also great levels, WaW is a maximalist depiction of WW2 brutality, but BO1 has great levels and a memorable story. Seems like the best all rounder too me.
>>717717360Perfect cross-over doesn't exi-
>>717717041 (OP)I used to be a musician like you, until I took an arrow to the knee.
>>717717360Why is all the crossovers in CoD from 90s shit
>>717737014You cant go wrong with BO1. Its honestly one of Treyarch's peaks. I personally prefer BO2 because it had that BO1 special sauce mixed in with a new futuristic story and I am a sucker for that.
>>717717041 (OP)We'll never get games like WaW and BO1 again.

>>717737370because the only people who still play call of duty are 40 year old stoner millennials like that twitch streamer aris
When will people realize balance is what's needed in these things? Gritty brown and piss spamming was bad, but so is rainbow vomit cross over slop.
>>717737703so youโre saying we need gritty piss rainbow vomit?
>>7177370142 has a pretty extensive narrative that has enough branching paths to make it worth playing through a few times. That and the predator camo that comes as standard. I think it was the same one that experimented with underbarrel flamethrowers too at one point with the multiplayer. I've never seen anyone outside of 40k do that combination since.
>>717737762Just more like "don't do an aesthetic because everyone else is doing it."
That said, a cartoony game with a piss filter that takes itself seriously could be fun.
I like the main voice actor in this game
he's really good at his job, like genuinely good
>>717737829lol he's the guy in avatar and the lead guy in terminator salvation
t. samefag
>>717733212I remember hearing this dev interview where one said that they wanted it to feel like you left behind a worse world than where you started in MW, or something. Pretty cool if I'm remembering correctly.
>>717735889BO1 was stacked. Gary Oldman, Ed Harris, Ice Cube, Jake Sully
>>717735889>>717738083Also Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund and Michael Rooker in that snowy zombie map
>tfw CoD WaW made you sympathise with the ordinary russians who were sent into the grinder and did most of the work in defeating Germany, and almost made you communist
>>717737791>Get's injured by a normal human Lucifer BlackI'm convinced an above average Space Marine could kill Alpharius in single combat.
>>717737370because the game takes place in the early 90s? the crossovers that make zero sense in that regard is the terminator one because that movie was released in 84' i think.
>>717743057>ordinary russians who were sent into the grinder and did most of the work in defeating GermanyYou mean the army of rapists so beloved by the people they conquered that monuments to their "sacrifice" are being destroyed left and right?
>>717743057Groidsissies who measure "work done" in a war by casualties are so funny to me.
Resnov ending WaW by saying
>As long as Dimitri lives, the spirt of the red army will never die!
And then Dimitri being killed by soviet command out of convience is legitimately excellent symbolism
>>717723348>>717723562Sorry but WaW campaign is shit compared to the actual classics like CoD 2003, United Offensive and CoD 2
>>717748498The original CoD campaign has a few stand out levels but most of it is really awful MoH theivery that feels like it came right out of 1997. Also Veteran removing health kits is pure fucking bullshit
FOR YOU, MASON... NOT FOR ME.
