He was supposed to look regal and refined, because initially the story was Dante was an old ancient aristocrat, while that story ended upb eing for his son.

DMC1 had such a good charm.

Vary your attacks and use guns to maintain your rank when the enemy is out of sword range. Then once you unlock Ifrit you can just cheese everything with chargeed normals and get S ranks for free.

Also the game isn't easy but once you've adapted to its unique and kind of weird qualities it's a lot easier than pretty much all the later games except 2 and maybe DmC. It just takes getting used to.

Yes. Also stinger to close distance if need be, DT can be abused easily because it fills really fast (don't forget to taunt). Good idea to learn the basic combos starting with High Time too since the combos only get more complicated in the later games.
