For an Xbox? Sure.
For MMO gaming on a controller? Sure.

no in the current year you are better getting a wireless keyboard and using your penis to type of the words out as you keep both hands on the controller

I haven't touched my xbox or ps in years but when I did a chatpad was mandatory imo.
like back buttons though they will never be standard because they want to sell them to you.

you may as well get a real keyboard. chatpads were initially proprietary devices because consoles were super inconsistent with recognizing regular keyboards, but almost every console game nowadays will at least let you use a keyboard for typing

He's absolutely right. Being able to type out longe sentences put your a cut above mongoloids who can only type noob or gg. Xbox sucks for this though, it doesn't remember words like playstation

I like having it attached. It makes holding the controller easier since I can use my pinkies to rest on the base.
I wish they were still sold.
