More like the setting and music carry it, and story does factor in but its more of a late game, tie things together element. Gameplay is just like SH2. Shes a weak, fraile woman but youll get complaints that she cant swing as hard as a MLB player. Fits the mc. I got a physical copy 10 years ago and wonder if i should sell. Bought it as a prestige purchase but i just emulate ps2. The novelty of owning it is fading. meant more 10 years ago

Half of the game is cut-content, it's missing like 40% of the chapters.
At a certain point you'll notice that the events reach warp speed and kinda suddenly "skip" to the final chapter.
This game is mostly unfinished; Still the best lesbian story in a videogames of all time.

I love jank, I love horror. This game has the worst gameplay ive seen from an actual artistic and professionally made survival horror. Its really fucking bad.

Your call, the value will only ever go up, but you want to get it off your hands before visible disc rot sets in. Then it becomes a glorified drink coaster and the only reason someone will buy it is for the case/manual.

Yes. The story, especially the ending, hits most with both the cutscenes and the exploration. Just like any horror game with a good story, just watching it on youtube isn't going to give you even half of the experience. Play it, explore, and make sure you get the extra chapter ending and not just the ending.

Then sell it. I did the same thing with Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Saturn. Bought it in 2009 for $200, cleared it 3 times (made a "perfect file" the 2nd time), sold it a few years ago for about $850 USD after feeBay took their cut. Got my fill, is all.

It depends on whether or not you have a high tolerance for bullshit. Because there are points where the combat system will make you want to put your fist through a wall, especially when Jennifer gets surrounded by monsters.

hahahah no. Combat in sh2 is faster and better designed. And that's just melee. ROR is sluggish and slow, the character doesn't react properly and enemies have broken hitboxes.

No. Don't get me wrong, I liked this game. I still listen to the music sometimes. But playing through it is some bullshit. You're better off watching someone else play it on youtube.

Hits are slow, hitboxes are completely fucked, the enemies have an easy time knocking you down and there is nothing you can do about it. All that could have been forgiven if the fighting was optional. But it is not. Even outside of boss fights there are sections where you are stuck with the horde of enemies until you get them all.

I played this game around 2008-2009 when I started living by myself and I only had a tv, a modded ps2, one couch and a shitty laptop.
I still think about it from time to time, like when I do the laundry and chores not every day but every other month.
