As a Skyrim babby I was genuinely impressed with how in-depth the Mage's Guild questline was and how fun spellcrafting is.
Spellcrafting plus Skyrim's duel hand system could have been really fun, why did Bethesda remove it?

I got a good 80 hours out of it. Oblivion holds up okay. Not as good as Morrowind or Skyrim

I honestly don't enjoy Elder Scrolls anymore. I've done everything the games have to offer and the gameplay itself isn't good enough for me to want to play through again.

I meant why was spellcrafting removed from Skyrim. I'm not a zoomer, just didn't play the early Elder Scrolls.

He’s talking about spellcrafting not being in Skyrim, you illiterate dunce.
>>717944643
It’s because Todd was concerned about the broken ass spells people would make… then he let smithing and enchanting be broken in Skyrim anyway.

>how in-depth the Mage's Guild questline
It was? Was pretty forgettable compared to Morrowind's, and I played a Mage.

See how dumbed down gameplay went from Morrowind to Oblivion and cannot invest myself in Skyrim unless for coomer mods. I'm getting Nordic fatigue in my fantasy games.

Why couldn't they have made Morrowind playable instead?

I meant compared to Skyrim's laughable Mage's College
>Okay you've done three (3) quests for the guild and fired one spell. You're our leader now!!
Meanwhile the Oblivion Mage's Guild has you do quests in every city, many unique like the "heavy ring in the well" one and has nice rewards like entry to the University to finally unlock spellcrafting. There's a good progression to it.

It makes perfect sense why the land of the Nords would have a smaller Mage questline than Cyrodil, but even then the Mages College is hands down the worst guild in the game.

The winterhold college had good story dungeons. Plus you could get a jew-coded knife ear vaporized

I fucking love this game, bros.

Mage's Guild questline, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion are all A+++ for me.

As to why spellcrafting was removed, I really don't know. Fun fact: spellcrafting was even zanier in Morrowind and it was toned down for Oblivion. But spellcrafting was insanely popular to fans of the series, it is bizarre to me that they slowly down-scaled it and then even removed it entirely.
