I have people applying to work at my software company who rank themselves in skills using a bar like that.

Some of them even list skills that are below 50%
No prizes for guessing their land of origin

The problem is that the developers intentionally want to obfuscate numerical values, because then there's a lesser chance of a meta forming.

If everyone could just see that X gun with Y and Z attachments would do even just 1 more damage than everything else, then you pretty much render all other guns to be """useless""" when metas form.

Not how it works in most games
>37.5 damage can kill this one dangerous grunt in 2 headshots
>42.25 damage can kill that another annoying grunt in 1 headshot
You go for one or another, no in-between, and you don't need more, better invest in recoil or ammo etc

dead by daylight is the worst when it comes to this
