I recently played this one for the first time in my life after having only played SA1 for so many years and honestly i found this game disappointing, i really only liked about 1/3rd of the game, those being the Sonic and Shadow levels, the story and the music. The mech levels were so-so, generally though Eggman had the better levels and i did not like the treasure hunting levels mainly just due to how much time you can waste in them. I don't think this is a bad game but i feel like it's a step backward in many ways from SA1.
