there are three potential reasons
1. the government subsidises the sale of androids to individuals in a deal with the manufacturer to prevent the manufacturer from mass manufacturing androids and eliminating the human job market which would lead to the plebs rising up
2. the company assembles the androids with an android work force meaning the costs are materials and electricity, human labour is almost always the most expensive part of production so this is a massive cost cutting measure
3. the company already has already milked such a large amount of money that attempting to extract more wealth from the economy would cause it to crash entirely and they are self-subsidising sales to increase their influence since they can no longer increase their money pile

remember that even an android costing one million in price with human capabilities would annihilate the job market
if you bought one android due to no salary, no benefits, no insurance, no retirement funds it would pay itself back in ten years at which point you could buy another one
then after ten years, two more, then 4 and so on
