They didn't drop DS when 3DS came out.
They didn't drop 3DS when Switch came out.
It's not like they're dedicating a ton of resources to Switch, either. It's getting Prime 4 that was promised since 2017, Pokemon Legends Z-A that was announced over a year ago and the only 2026 games are Rhythm Heaven and Tomodachi Life.
This isn't a PS5 situation where they were telling from rooftops "We believe in generations!" when MS announced Xbox Series won't have exclusives on launch only to do an 180 and make GoW Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West that were announced as PS5 exclusives also come to PS4 (btw those were PS4 games that were moved to PS5, same situation as MK World and Bananza)
