I still can't understand why people like that shit, can't stop thinking that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and DBZF would have been so much better with their cast but a proper 1v1 fighter, but it seems to be an unpopular opinion for some reason.

1. It's more exciting and by that I mean is that some retarded shit is happening all the time thanks to assists.
2. A lot of people like the idea of building/playing entire teams either for strategic (looking for the best synergy between chars) or gameplay fantasy (pic) reasons.
i also hate them and would prefer to control a single, more developed character
