I never understood why so many hated peace walker's bosses, they are actually great
>bosses incredibly aggressive and lethal, with all of them having unique designs and varied attack patterns
>stealth is completely viable and even encouraged in the vehicle fights
>AI weapons have tons of health which allows players to use all the weapons the game has
I get that they have no personalities but actually fighting the bosses in this game is fun, they can be very dynamic. Also
>literal monster hunter bosses
Enough said really

They were designed with bro-op in mind, not solo.

Most people these days are too ADHD to research + explore + analyze and kidnap the real people, so they got shit R&D and thus never unlocked LMGs nor rocket launchers. Which is insane.
The same crowd also never could've nonlethal-stealthed through the Vehicle squads, plebs as they are.

No. I won't defend them, especially fucking Cocoon. Shart Farter somehow manages to be worse than Portable Ops on every single front. The bosses, scenario design, characters, and plot especially.
>b-but it has [SKINNER BOX MECHANIC]
It's also really funny how it somehow manages to have the worst Rathalos in not just any Monster Hunter but any game with a monhun cameo period, even FFXIV couldn't take that crown away from it. It unironically World Tours for 10 minutes and you are expected to take fucking shots at it while it does so
It's still a game worth trying but it's a solid 6/10

...what of it? It's piss easy, arguably the most underwhelming of them all.

Not by a long shot, kiddo.
It's top-3 MGS games of all time, alongside with MGS1 and 3. It is also THE real MGS5 game.

Agreed. Big Fucking Robot is such a staple videogame boss, and they're fun to go ham on. In my opinion Kojima never quite recaptured the magic of MGS1 FOXHOUND, and MGS4 and PortaOps human bosses were frankly lame. If he didn't have any good ideas for gimmicky human fights, I'd much rather take a fun arcade action boss fight like the robots.
My only complaint is that you can "destroy" different parts of the robots, and in a few cases doing so will disable the boss's ability linked to that part, but most of the time it does nothing. I just wish they would have expanded that mechanic a little.

They are great boss fights that actually feel like fighting metal gears, unlike Sons of Liberty's Ray, Snake Eater's Shagohod, and Guns of the Patriot, which didn't even had new real metal gears. The problem is that MGS for the PSX is regarded as the gold standard for villains/bosses, where every villain outside of Decoy Octopus is an actual character, and have good boss fight as well, some even have two.
The villain cast for MGS2 was too small, and the boss fights were pretty bad.
MGS3's cobras are boring, and only two of them have good battles, and the rest of the villain, while well written, do not have good fights, and the Shagohod is an on-rail battle for the most part.
MGS4 had great boss battles, specifically Ray vs Rex, and it had interesting mechanics integrated into them, but Beauty and the Beasts were extremely poorly written, and you could just use the night vision mode for the Solid Eye and cheese all of them.
Peace Walker AI bosses were really fun to play against, but they were just that, AI. They had no character to them, and none of the real villain of the game are actual bosses, outside of Paz in the Metal Gear Zeke.

You know how a game like World of Warcraft might have a regular ass human with no magic but he'd somehow be fighting off a whole 40 man raid because he's just "high level"? That's what Big Boss in Peace Walker feels like.
Like it makes no sense for a regular ass human being to be able to over head press a fucking massive gazillion ton mech but Big Boss can just do it because he's somehow leveled up enough. Like logically a character like Raiden with his cyber implants should be able to absolutely destroy someone like Old Snake without even trying because of how overpowered he is but if the writers want Old Snake to win he will find a way to win somehow even if he can barely stand up anymore.
