/v/ was and still is so thoroughly ass blasted by the Wii U's failure and the anal vore spam that followed that they have been heavily policing the board for any hint of snoys or boogeymen ever since. They so thoroughly purged any opposition that they're just chasing shadows at this point and looking for an enemy. I know this because I was there and a bit of a part of it. I bought a Wii U almost to support Nintendo. I didn't partake in that painful thank you card but it's still a point of embarrassment. That being said I still prefer the Wii U Gamepad to the tiny manlet controllers of the Switch and I feel it was kind of the last generation before Nintendo really started going full Jew and cheaping out on hardware.

The Wii U gamepad feels very comfy, and I forgot how painful Switch's completely flat surface was until I booted it up to play Hyrule Warriors like old times and it felt so pleasing to hold.

The only thing I didn't like about the Wii U was the tiny storage space and the arcane rituals you need to perform to get around that, like dual USB portable hard drives, needing to make sure both the save file and game are on the system and so on. I was having to constantly delete and redownload shit. The VC was worth it though, even if the DS one was implemented in the most retarded way possible. At least I fucking own them unlike the shitty emulated WEF subscription games on the Switch.

The subscription system is pretty shitty, but I prefer that if it's that or them resetting the catalog once every one or two consoles. Imagine the library we would have now if they never restarted and they've just been building on to this for 20 years. We could've had everything, even virtual boy games, and more non-Nintemdo consoles beyond the Genesis. It'd be the ultimate gaming service.
