Age of Mythology if you just want to have fun in singleplayer.

Age of Empires 2 if you want multiplayer.

i doubt ill play multi so i might just do with mythology then. 2 definitive does have a shitload of new campaigns but i do wonder how good they are

age of empires 2 has good campaigns. (almost) all the DLC have great campaigns (excluding 3chinkdoms and V&V). the ones from the base-game/early 2000s expansions range from meh to pretty good and there are a shit ton of them to play.
aoe2:de bots are also really good.
