If I did pick up a console, it probably would be this one. I don't need one since I have a PC, but value wise it's good.

I play on PC and have had no desire for physical games over digital since the middle of last gen. Just not many games worth having physically these days anyway and most indie games don't even have physical editions. Also I remember not understanding the "it takes up space" argument until I started running into it myself. Also I don't really have the issue of "what if you want to play the game 20 years from now" since I already have an answer to that from experience: emulation. The Wii, DS and Wii U are basically the only devices that I don't think I'd rather plan on device just because I'd rather use the Wii Remote/Sensor Bar or the DS touchscreen over mkb.

That said at least GOG is an option and it allows you to download the offline installers after you bought the games from there.

Because on PC you can back up the installation files and install the game on different machines if you want. That goes for cracked games too. I have a ton of games backed up on thumb drives. You can't do that a cucksole.

It's guaranteed to run on Series S since Xbox requires Xbox Series X and S parity. If anything, the Series S is probably the reason for the delays since they need to optimize GTA VI to make sure it runs on it (which means it's going to run great on Series X and the PS5).

That is the whole driving point behind a console.
Xbox is the reason why the consoles began to be more like Pcs and lead to their downfall, traditionally consoles had specialized architectures to make the most of its hardware for gaming while PCs are still a jack of all trades that can do anything but not perfectly well, like how in 2025 some Ps2 games still run like shit and it is the uniqueness of the console environment what makes them attractive.
Now that luster is gone and all that is left are shitty pre-builds with a paid subscription to play online, thanks Microsoft.
