If I did pick up a console, it probably would be this one. I don't need one since I have a PC, but value wise it's good.

I play on PC and have had no desire for physical games over digital since the middle of last gen. Just not many games worth having physically these days anyway and most indie games don't even have physical editions. Also I remember not understanding the "it takes up space" argument until I started running into it myself. Also I don't really have the issue of "what if you want to play the game 20 years from now" since I already have an answer to that from experience: emulation. The Wii, DS and Wii U are basically the only devices that I don't think I'd rather plan on device just because I'd rather use the Wii Remote/Sensor Bar or the DS touchscreen over mkb.
That said at least GOG is an option and it allows you to download the offline installers after you bought the games from there.
