because they already have a well known brand with a loyal fanbase that's gonna buy whatever they realease, no matter how good or bad it is.
this doesn't mean it's impossible for an rpg to hit big, see BG3 and expedition 33, but you need to deliver something good enough to captivate an audience, and even then it's a leap of faith. guys that make gacha games know they only need to hook up people with good visuals, and after that just see how far they can go making money out of it until the EOS.
there's also guys that put their back into their gacha games and keep a steady pace, like FGO that is already 10 years old in japan, but for every dream that came true, there's a thousand broken dreams on the road.

Olivia is basically the easy mode for the game, other than that it's a party based game so you need multiple units to build full teams. You'll eventually get all of them anyways, so there's not really a reason to try and reroll.

The butterflies are the premium currency, if you clear the entire story you get about 1900-2000~ of them. That's enough for about 3-4 skins. After that they only slowly give you more with the release of new characters / chapters. Basically once you spend them it's almost impossible to get more. Once you reach a certain point you get like 150-200k gold per day and then more from shit like weeklies. Basically you get a roll per day, but pity is only 10 rolls on a banner until a character shows up. Never roll on the standard banner with gold, save gold for character / weapon banners. Buy yourself costumes you like with butterflies or save them up for new costumes, don't spend them on anything else.

Taimanin RPG global did a gem debt because of a mistake that wasn't an exploit completely their fault. I don't know exactly what happened but the update the same time Infinity Nikki launched on Steam apparently ruined the game. Nothing beats that Love Live game though. It got a launch and EoS announcement in the same tweet.
