i think that's extreme. there's a pretty clear distinction between things that can be fixed with mods, like voice lines or visual details, and things that can't be fixed, like gameplay fundamentals in a multiplayer adjacent environment. due in no small part to the fact that adding VO to characters probably won't break multiplayer, but a driving physics or speed overhaul definitely would. if the game had bad driving or a bad camera or felt slow, those would be issues you can't fix with mods without exileing yourself to single player.

its just a guess, but i imagine the characters without voice lines will still have innate voice lines slots. they'll just be blank or empty and need to he identified and filled by fans. i don't disagree with you at all though. it is lazy as hell that the devs didn't do voice lines for any of the DLC characters. that did hurt my excitement about Spongebob and Werehog Sonic a lot.

I'm pretty sure we had this confirmed like months ago. That's why I found it weird that everyone saying this would trounce Mario Kart World when it can't even pay voice actors for just a few lines for their guest characters. Sega always cheaps out. That's why they never dominate when they easily could.
