I'm jealous of people starting now with all the improved features. Just having a custom ship that works as a base hugely improves the core gameplay loop compared to shitty bases. Being someone who has played on and off since release is pure suffering since I can't have all those wow moments at the same time now.

The expeditions loop back around if you want to play them but if you don't care and go the save editor route yeah it's super easy to just give yourself all the event related cosmetics

I prefer NMS but I hope SC actually delivers in this decade. Yes it was mostly a scam in the sense that the devs are incompetent and robert collects shipbucks, but there is at least something being made even if it is 10x slower than NMS development

Because sunk-cost cultists will defend anything if they paid enough for JPEG ships. NMS turned its mess around in 2 years while SC is still crawling after over a decade with more concept art than actual gameplay. But hey, gotta believe in that "soon™", right?

Getting closer every day. I genuinely can't believe SC's/SQ42 gone this far without a release. A "the perfect is the enemy of the good" in every respect, as far as I'm concerned.

I like SC in spurts, like I'll play for like a month when a new big update comes out and have fun but then drop it. NMS is just dull as fuck and has a boring and annoying loop, at least in the early game but I can't be arsed to get far into it it's just boring
