I don't think you can even get the original version digitally any more, you just get the shitty, ugly remaster. And digital versions of the original were updated way back to remove parts of the OST that had expired copyrights.

I remember it being a huge pain in the ass trying to patch the PC version (to restore music), so bizarrely the best way is probably PS2 emulation.

Played through it, also VC and III using these mods without any problem.

I'm playing the original steam version currenrly. Trying to finally beat SA for the first time but Las Venturas sucks so much ass. I like the actual city but the missions are annoying as fuck. That one mission where you have to intercept a mafia plane took me like 8 fucking tries because the plane they force you to use is slow as fuck

Undefinitive Edition is easiest. Then PS2 emulation, then lastly going through the hassle of downgrading original SA on PC and then modding it.

Steam or pirate it, get a mouse fix our use gaypad. Lowrider mission might be fucked so lock framerate when playing it and I think up and down keys are reversed for that minigame for some reason.
