No Minor Glitches in Metroid Prime. You can only do gamebreaking things like Space Jump First, but small tricks that save a couple seconds or so are banned.

Because there's a distinction between "glitch" and "oversight".
Like how faggots keep saying that melee's wavedashing is "LE GLITCH" when in reality nothing is glitched or broken, the game is behaving as intended and transferring your aerial momentum into grounded momentum.

No, a real race has actual rules put in place so that people stay on the track and so that they compete within the same parameters. It also has people competing at the same time so that they don't pull any bullshit, hide shit or repeat the samme things until they get slightly luckier than the competition.

What's the fucking point?
Example:
Subnautica lets you teleport to the lifepod if you keep using the unstuck option in the menu, completely bypassing the danger of playing hardcore mode, where if you die, the save is deleted. The geniuses who came up with the category decided that you are allowed to abuse this for any reason, including to avoid a drowning death or just to save time.
