List of games that cannot be considered art
>anything from the arcades (toys designed to steal your coins)
>anything with a battle pass, subscriptions, loot boxes, or low effort microtransactions (fomo simulators designed to steal your money)
>any game with no story or story that only exists to justify gameplay and/or direct the player
>any game made by modern sony (propaganda is not art)
>anything that isnt fun (before something can qualify as art it has to fulfil the expected requirements of the medium)

Give me one reason I shouldn't kill myself as a legitimately mentally stunted autist creep.

I dont get how paintings are even considered "art" in the pretentious sense, whats the difference between the mona lisa and some splash art from league of legends apart from the technical skill of the painter, its just a picture of a woman, theres no deeper musings on life, theres no statement on the human condition, its literally just a painting of a woman

NTA: Define "art", and you'll likely find the answer.

>anything from the arcades (toys designed to steal your coins)
If it's imported from the Arcades to new platforms, doesn't that invalidate the argument?
>anything with a battle pass, subscriptions, loot boxes, or low effort microtransactions (fomo simulators designed to steal your money)
Yep. Don't like that either.
>any game with no story
Honestly, what's wrong with Tetris?
>story that only exists to justify gameplay and/or direct the player
All depends on the execution.
>(propaganda is not art)
Depends. You can have good art be propaganda, overt or not.
>anything that isnt fun (before something can qualify as art it has to fulfil the expected requirements of the medium)
Good look qualifying what "fun" is, especially when people don't consider certain games "fun."

>If it's imported from the Arcades to new platforms, doesn't that invalidate the argument?
no as the original game was designed with coin chugging in mind which resulted in certain gameplay choices (boss HP, enemy placement etc)
>Honestly, what's wrong with Tetris?
Theres nothing wrong with it, I enjoy tetris, it just isnt art

Is that not an artform in itself?
