I unironically fell into a pond in a hotel resort when I was a toddler because it had fishies in it and I wanted to grab them. Neither of my parents noticed their kid was fucking drowning. Thankfully a couple caught me in the corner of their eyes and rushed to my rescue. My mom still makes fun of me for almost dying when I was a young kid

Something similar happened to me. My parents got invited to this mansion for a work party thing and I played outside near the frog pond. My mom warned me not to fall in, and I arrogantly promised her I wouldn't. It was shallow, thankfully, but the next time she saw me, I was lying spread eagle on the driveway baking in the sun.
