Is there any reason I should look forward to this game? I know /v/ surprising liked Tshushima, but this game honestly just seems like Assasins Creed for people who don't want an Assasins Creed with Ubisofts name behind it.

Does it have multiplayer like the first one did? Cause if not I'll pass. I got a ton of hours of entertainment from GoT's Legends mode.

Yeah it had a two player coop mode with a bunch of mission to run through and then a four player coop horde mode where you had to defeat waves of Mongorians. Pretty fun if you liked the combat from the games.

They chose the wrong protagonist, just like Asscreed Shadows. The choice taints everything down to the roots of the game. I won't support thier agenda.

I'm hoping it adds some more interesting traversal aspects to make exploration more interesting, like the grapple hook I saw, but thats honestly being too optimistic, I cant rememeber the last AAA game that had good or interesting traversal besides maybe Death Stranding 1, and Kojima subsequently ruined it in the second game

What makes them different then and most importantly what makes the former better than the latter? If you say anything superficial like "ITS IN JAPAN! AND LE KINO EPIC SAMURAI AESTHETIC WITH NO WOKE!" then I will pray you die by the end of the year.

It'll be hard to make a great protag like Jin work a second time, especially since the protag is female with an awful look.

You have to stare at a woke female doing woke things the entirety of your time playing. It affects all of the gameplay. If visuals didn't matter all games would look like Dwarf Fortress.

It had an immersive way of showing you all the gay collectables which was a nice noveltly. It was enough for me to get halfway-2/3'ds done with the game before realizing and dropping it.
I shant be playing the sequel because i couldnt even finish the first without getting bored

The only reason to look forward to this game is watching the news of Sucker Punch's folds, layoffs, and eventual closure of its studio after releasing this garbage and Sony decides to pull the trigger.

The comparison is superficial in nature. I'm not defending Assassin's Creed either.
On the outset they're both historical fantasy, and they both feature similar gameplay loops. Assassin's Creed is a sci-fi series though, which most people seem to forget. The time periods were never the entire point for AC, they were backdrops for whatever weird shit was actually going on.

You'd have to decide your own reasons since so much about games is subjective and what other people and shitposters don't like about it may be irrelevant to you like it is to me. If you wanna know what it's like pirate/try the first one. It's likely not going to be radically different.

I felt the first one was utter shit
The whole 'you can't beat the first boss since we have a story to do' was straight up from shit level of slop

The combat system was pointless for the most part with the stance mechanic since every enemy can be beaten easily by the default stance

Asscreed stealth was fun for the first 2-3 places I took out but got boring quickly

So no, unless you enjoyed the first one
