Never in my life, not even once, has the level of difficulty in a game prevented me from playing it. However, there are people here that think SMT nocturne is the hardest game ever made.

This level was insanely difficult on the hardest difficulty. There was a specific unintuitive strategy you had to use for cornering and you had to nail it on every corner for three straight laps. At least the checkpoint to restart was good with a skippable cutscene.

You also benefitted from kinda influencing the other drivers to crash, lol.

Overall, though, the game fucking sucked. Very boring on-rails quasi-openworld snoozefest that punished you for having any fun.

I just made an XCOM 2 thread yesterday and Legendary Ironman still filters me.

I loved the race in Mafia so much I went and modded the shit out of Assetto Corsa to be a vintage GP game.

They are genuinely quite hard if you don't know what you're doing. Even if you do, legend ironman tries its best to kick you in the teeth with ungodly long wound timers, research times, hp pools, pod sizes, etc.

I got filtered by God Hand at Mirage Town. Had fun, but couldn't deal with the input lag from pcsx2 along with the tank controls against respawning enemies.

Because they're "real hard" genuinely and only the top percentile of gamers can beat them without rage quitting. Halo 2 Legendary was the ultimate filter for Quake and Doom boomers. He'll they couldn't even beat CoD on Veteran

most of the people expected mafia to be action game about mafia, not a racing simulator, so a lot of people not experienced with racing got filtered just because you needed to use brakes around the corners
