i mean kind of? you get gear, but with upgrade tracks you get absolutely garbage versions of it. granted you dont really need it for anything as a casual, because all of the content you can do is also pretty empty and pointless. only high end players actually experience the game as blizz intended.

I feel bad for anyone that actually believes this. It's been dead for a long, long, loooooooonnng time. It's been downhill since AT LEAST WotLK, arguably earlier. The plot is nonsense, the gameplay is complete slop ruined by add-ons, exploration is pointless, gear never matters long term, and on and on and on. The only people that enjoy it are mazed checklist completionists. Genuinely sad to see.

The only way to fix the game is completely overhaul the entire thing to make old content endgame relevant and throw out the seasonal treadmill entirely. It's never happening.
