I am getting tired of these Warriors tie-in games. I liked the first Hyrule Warriors because it was a celebration of the series, not tied to any specific Zelda game. It told a silly, original story and it was fine for what it was.

Then Age of Calamity was a prequel game. Then Three Hopes was an alt-history of Three Houses. Now, Age of Imprisonment is another prequel game, just like Age of Calamity is, only this one is so much worse because this is the story we should have gotten the first time around. If Tears of the Kingdom committed to telling the story of the Imprisoning War, we wouldn't need a prequel game. It's honestly kind of insulting that Tears of the Kingdom had a flimsy, poorly put together "story", just so the actual story can be repackaged into a Warriors spin off.

Warriors spin-offs should be celebrations of the series, none of this fanfiction garbage.

A lot less people will care about the new one because for age of calamity people wanted to know more about the story of that Hyrule due to being drip-fed small bits of lore in BotW.
With TotK clearly not caring about the story, there's no reason to care about this one.

Yeah I'm with you here. I can understand them doing tie-in games for these two, as both series had stand alone Warriors game already made, both of the games in question (BotW & FE:TH) were hugely popular and had a lot of fans wanting more from each world. Most of the assets were already made as well, but it should have ended there though, this new one is a joke.
It's set a world people are sick of, with a storyline everyone thought was retarded, another Zelda MC game when people are sick of this version of her, with characters nobody gives a shit about AND the worst part of it is Link isn't even in the game. We just get a construct version of his moveset instead. Absolutely shit decision to make this, and I'll only buy it if we get a sexy version of Twinrova.
