Nintendo wants to kill the secondhand market but also wants you to buy older systems that they don't produce anymore to play older titles because they can't be assed to port them to the newer ones. I hope this clears it up.

It doesn't really make sense, but then again you can play both Link's Awakening for GBC and the remake on Switch
Somewhat related, I never got the hate towards WW and TPfags are embarassing online with how they seemingly think "THIS IS HOW ZELDA SHOULD BE"
Having said that I did like TP more than WW, playing a second playthrough of WW was pretty terrible because I already knew where everything was and sailing instantly lost any magic it could've had left
I also wished things from TP would come back to the franchise like sword skills
