I got a retrobit saturn controller and it felt kinda shit and I was asking people if all my problems with it were the same as the original Saturn controller and everyone said "yeah they're pretty much the same" BUT NO. I GOT AN ORIGINAL CONTROLLER AND IT FEELS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Dpad less mushy, dpad less glossy,triggers don't fucking rattle in the shell, buttons feel better, IT'S INSANE.

Yeah, no shit, 8bitdo is garbage, never tried retrobit but I assume it is similar, they are trash for zoomer redditors, either go with the original system controller or get a pro level one like the vader 4 pro.

The Genesis controller they make actually isn't bad, way better than the Saturn one, but after this experience I'm guessing it's nowhere fucking close to that either

retrobit are evil.
I bought the wireless Saturn controller when it released - reviewed in on Youtube since no one else had made a video (very, very small channel) and my video was reviewbombed xD
out of nowhere I had 900 views, almost as many dislikes (back when you could publicly see likes/dislikes) and some comments calling me out for "smearing" the product lmao
Retrobit is absolute jeetshit, bottom of the barrel quality and parts. Stay away

I haven't used retrobit but I would say of course it isn't, those original controllers were made with the d-pad exclusively as the main directional input and built to survive american kids using them every single day. The genesis and saturn controllers were perfect, nobody ever complained about them and it seems nobody ever will after 30+ years.

Because the Saturn controller is already perfection. There was no chance a third party could compete with that.
