The Xbox is a Pentium 3 x86 instruction set, DirectX 8.1 computer with a modified GeForce 3 GPU running a modified Windows 2000 Kernel. Nearly all open source emulators capable of running on it's hardware were successfully ported to it.

The Xbox 360 switched away from its predecessor's x86 chip to PowerPC, and the PS3's "Cell" processor was based on PowerPC.

PS3 was pure hubris on Ken Kutaragi's part thinking the Japanese could design something better than IBM.

When the first PS3 was introduced there was supposed to be a second Cell processor to act as a GPU. That's why it could power two screens at once, play 1080p games, etc. It would obviously be too expensive, so they had to swap it for a normal video card. PS3 used a slightly modified mid range Nvidia GeForce 7 GPU.

PS4 was standard x86/64 systems because it was cheaper and easier for developers. The GPU in the PS4 is a 7750 overclocked to 7850 performance.

The PS4 and next xbox are both AMD x86 based, and the PS4 has tons of gddr5 memory, so multiplatform titles will be a thing of the past.

Nintendo stuck with Nvidia ARM SoC for Switches.

I bought the first one on PS4 during covid lockdown and they delivered the game to my house because they wouldn't open the stores. They mistakenly sent 4 copies to my house including a limited edition one.

I beat the Hell House and played for a half hour after that and lost interest. It looks great visually but I hate the way it plays and it somehow feels more monotonous than mashing circle and watching Hades and Bahamut for the 1000th time on PS1

Microsoft's been doing kind of a rebrand sort of thing where ""Xbox"" is no longer a "console", and more of like a concept or something, all bound by streaming.
It's what all that "this is an Xbox" marketing was all about and why there's an official """Xbox""" handheld now for like a thousand bucks.
10000% the next Xbox wont have a disc drive at all, and I'll be shocked if Microsoft even sells an Xbox console at all. At best I could see them selling some kind of $100 streaming box for that "console experience" but that's it.

My rambling over, I think more specifically in the OP's tweet, they're referring to the Xbox (on PC) game store as a separate entity from Steam, the de facto PC store.
If they just said "PC", then people would've just assumed Steam, and if they just said "Xbox" they would've assumed the console.
