>best gaming keyboards have no numpad
How do you justify keeping the numpad around instead having it a separate attachment for other shit like school work?
Anonymous No.720633338 [Report]
Why do I need to justify it?

Recently I actually had a use for the numpad because an old game I played had a button mapped to the numpad that you cannot remap in any way and for some reason, autohotkey did not work properly for that button

What makes something the “best” keyboard?

>best gaming keyboards have no numpad
The best gaming keyboard has a numpad and costs $190 less than that crap you're trying to shill

I don't see any reason to not have numpad. You'd need to have like I don't know 50cm wide desk for the size difference to matter.

Damn I haven't paid attention to keyboards in awhile. Wtf are magnetic key switches? Some recent development?

hall effect for keyboards. kinda pointless in my opinion. ive never really heard of mech switches having a particularly high failure rate. even membrane lasts forever and cheap enough that you can buy 2 or 3 to cover the price of 1 mech/mag keyboard.

I never used the numpad. I don't do spreadsheets on my computers just vidya and consooming.

No numpad means I can position the mouse closer which is comfy, I remember when I had yuge keyboards in the 2000s I'd often hit the mouse into the side of the keyboard in fps games.

if you like clicky or tactile, then mech. if you dont, then whatever keyboard feels the most comfortable to use. switch autism has no effect on the average keyboard user. just go to microcenter or something and play with the demos. the one that feels the best for you is the best one.

hall effect but it performs like the top tier HEs by default and is more durable, power efficient and cheaper

Based, had this keyboard for almost 15 years before it finally fucking broke and I had to replace it.
