look i can understand pokemon being nintendos golden goose next to mario and all but, are they fucking retarded? mainline games i get being 100% exclusive, but 2 games in genres where the majority of people who would pay to play said games exist outside nintendo consoles is stupid

Where..... Where else do you think a Pokémon game should be released? It's fucking Nintendo dude they're not putting it on Steam or Playstation.

Nah I get where you're coming from, but it's Nintendo dude, they don't even pretend to know what the rest of the industry is doing. Pokkén being Wii U-exclusive at launch was actual brain rot, like they had a semi-decent fighter from Bandai Namco and buried it on a dying console. And Unite being mobile-focused just proves they wanted whales more than actual competitive MOBA players. It's all short-term cash grabs instead of building a proper cross-platform audience, but hey, gotta sell those Joy-Cons and $50 Pikachu skins I guess.

i dont expect nintendo to drop pokemon games on playstation or PC anytime soon, i just think that its so odd that theyre willing to branch out into different genres but also i guess expect people who like those genres and who maybe like pokemon (but dont own a nintendo system) to come to them. i just want to understand the mindset behind how either of the pitch meetings went down for these games

I fucking love Unite, but it's so fucking stupid that I can't play it on pc, OR use a controller on my phone for it. Switch 2 is the only way to enjoy this fucking thing.
