I know you’re spamming these GoySlopCrap threads as bait, but gen poo is garbage. Johto is poorly designed dogshit and Crystal is easily gamefreak’s laziest singular release. Fixed fuckall flaws from the original GoySlop, added some little gay animated sprites, removed Mareep, and gutted half the Japanese exclusive content before localizing it (gs ball, online support, etc).
Shit games with trash pokemon in a boring region made up entirely of small linear grassy routes and unrewarding caves, full of underleveld Kanto mons from the first route to just before you’re fighting Red, awful encounter methods, horrible evo stone distribution. The only people who defend these trash games are fat balding retards who played it when they were 3.

Only your rocket plot and evo item complaints make any sense. It was made as a sequel, not a second installment in a massive series. The new pokemon, especially the dark type, were meant to be hidden away from the player.

Series peaked in Emerald desu but the sprite work in Crystal is unmatched

Gen 2 haters are invariably zoomers who missed the boat for pokemania
They don't understand how popular pokemon was when it was just the original generation. It would be insane for any company to downplay pikachu and co. for a new selection of unknown quantities at the height of their popularity.
For perspective, Gold and Silver were released in Japan the same month that the first Pokemon movie.
