Also one of their Founder is a singularity believer. The world he envisions is one in which AI has taken over 99% of game development and only the 1% (led by the 0.0001%) will survive.

Regardless of what you think about them , Mihoyo is a trend setter; once they publicly state that they're using generative AI in their game.
It will normalize the usage of it in the (Chinese) gaming industry and other companies will be less shy about doing the same thing

And for that matter, we are very close to hitting the limits of traditional computing, so unless quantum computing stops being a meme, were stalling out relatively soon. Innovations will keep happening, but it will be optimization and efficiency centered

AI we got now is already unsustainable, it is running on deficit and massive grant bankrolling without generating nowhere near enough profit to be worth it. It gets funded because we are in a phase where nobody wants to miss out if AGI is reached, and even when it is reached I'm pretty sure AI availability and scale of it's use will be massively toned down. We are likely living the unique golden age of wide AI availability right now.
