I was planning to get this game when a fact dawned on me. They're releasing another racer in the same year, how does that make sense? it only does when you realize they are pushing this out during a time when there's few console exclusives. No one is going to buy a console for this game, but if they already got one then they would feel compelled to buy anything they can this first year. Very shady.

Air Ride is a lot different from just a normal kart racer. Sakurai was just taking the piss at the start of the direct to get the elephant in the room out of the way.

The races are effectively just another event to test the machine you built during City Trials

Everyone that's actually played Kirby air ride (so, not the seething Macaco who only had a chipped ps2) would tell you that while the racing mode is competently made, it's unimpressive and the real meat of the game is the City Trial

One of my mostly normie friends had no interest in the Switch 2 because he's a normie graphicsfag

But when they announced this shit and a Fire Emblem with "roman aesthetics" he went and got one immediately

He was curious about a future zelda or a big 3D mario but hee pulled the trigger when these smaller projects got announced

Normies may be mostly cattle but even they ahve their occasional niche preferences and Nintendo is the only one catering to those needs in today's vidya market
