Dread was a great game, and absolutely a right step for the series, Mercury Steam really picked up the slack after the admittedly lukewarm 2 remake that got mogged by AM2R.
The suit - by which I assume you mean the default suit - looked sleek and very fitting for the vibe of the whole game. Definitely wasn't uglier than the default Fusion suit either. Metroid suit was incredibly cool too.
The plot was solid too, used the events established in the previous games nicely, shed some light on things no one really expected, the Adam twist was well done.

First of all, what the fuck does that even mean? Second, it only builds on the core Metroid mechanics, I don't know how you can sincerely call the mechanics bad (which is what I assume you meant by indie game tier, which, also lol).

At the end of the day it's a Switch game. For what it is, it looked great on the OLED screen. The art direction was on point.
