D2 is an all-time classic but it's aged pretty terribly. You're right, you get to the "end game" and that's all you really do, grind like 3-4 bosses over and over again. Game is solved. Either start a new character or go play a far superior game in Path of Exile. Blizzard hasn't made a good game in like 2O years.

While D2 outclasses PoE1 in many ways, there's so much more to do in PoE. I still go back to D2 every once in a while but I think it's mostly for the vibes, not the content.

Diablo 2 was such a shit game. You had some genius stuff like the skill tree concept, but the areas are just too fucking big starting with Desert and moving onward and you have skill options, but you got a be retarded to experiment with them instead of just dumping into a small pool of choices to make a broken build with the game assuming you are playing a broken build for enemy balance. For as simplistic as D1 was compared to D2, D1 was just fundamentally a better game and that's really bizarre.

Hell difficulty is just badly designed with the immunities though. Having monsters your character is completely unable to damage is just unfunand frustrating especially if you only play solo
