I've had Kailh brown switches for 9 years I've never gotten double clicking. To be fair though, I've had worse problems with them since sometimes the whole keyboard starts acting up and only registers certain keypresses. This only happens when the backlight is on so I've had it off for a few years now.

static causes double-clicking
humid air gets rid of static
just blow breathy wet air into your mouse

>Left mouse button in my Corsair Scimitar starts double-clicking after four years
>Take it apart and replace the switch
>Tell myself, "I don't use the right or middle buttons that much, no need to replace them"
>Right button starts double-clicking about a year later
>Take it apart again and replace the switch
>Middle mouse starts double-clicking eventually
Just replace all three the first time you take the mouse apart and it'll save you a lot of trouble later.

I literally fixed mine by opening it and bending it back into shape by brute force.
1 year later, still working perfectly.

what pisses me off the most is that you have to get new gliders every time you want to unscrew the bolts. they are always covered by the gliders. i fucking hate these jews.

You can reuse the pads, but you have to be careful not to scratch or crease them.

The problem is the special glue they use, it always gets fucked up and if you use cyanoacrylate glue you won't be able to take them off next time.

I had to replace the adhesive on one of mine. I just used double-sided tape. It's a fraction of a mm taller than the other three pads, but it doesn't seem to cause any issues.

Mice need a fucking mechanical keyboard hotswap-socket moment already

There are some mice out there with sockets for switches, but I don't know what they are. I think one of them is from Asus. Most manufacturers would rather you just buy a new mouse every 2-3 years when the mouse starts double-clicking instead of replacing a part that costs less than a dollar.

ASUS has that for their Gladius mice. They also patented it like the greedy fuckers they are to keep other companies from using it.
