I don't like how spastic Sonic controls in SA1.
There's no sense of mass, and ironically it makes him harder to control, because it's extremely difficult to turn smoothly rather than zig-zag.
I haven't played 2, but it looks like it has similar problems.

The only modern Sonic games I've touched are the Advance series and Mania. Anything post Genesis era with Adventure's DNA simply isn't Sonic.
