I would have already upgraded to 11 if it weren't for the hardware requiremnets and always online shit. I don't even like 10, but I refuse to enable TPM2.0 and secureboot because these are only going to be used to hardware restrict end users with DRM I will not get onboard with that. Honestly I wish SteamOS was a good alternative because I'd switch immediately if I could play all my games on it.

SteamOS is good enough if you just want to play on Steam/GOG, watch movies and shitpost on 4chan. The biggest issue is modding because usually some nerd already came up with a solution, but there's a good number of exceptions even in fairly known games.

Unless we're talking about some obscure titles, Steam usually adds all neccessary files to launch a game. Though in some cases I just gave up and torrented a Linux version of a game instead of trying to find a solution.
