Only partly true. The prologue and Velen are 10/10 but the quality drops precipitously after that. Skellige and Novigrad are carried solely by the soundtrack and world design.

I only barely managed to finished Witcher 3.

The story is fun and I liked a lot of the characters. The setting and music is great. But holy fuck is the gameplay fucking awful.

TW already jumped shark with #2 already, when they started appealing to literal AssCreed AND Soulsborne zoomies, and turned a great, varied, branching CRPG into rollan-on-ground action Ubishit with BatHam vision.
