Is it worth getting into in the current year?

No. Setting aside the fact that they've only added ugly man face women for literal years, and the fact that they added troons to the game, It's shit. They ruined a lot of fun maps. They destroy gameplay and balance and 10 years later they still can't go a patch without gamebreaking bugs, or cheaters. Play literally any other competitive fps game.

The finals, Deadlock(moba shooter), or if you want military combat just play a milsim. Much better experience than playing any compslop anyway. More fun moments and small RP shit. If you want arcade then just play old battlefield games. CS is serviceable. Valorant suffers from egregiously bad map pool and troonslop characters. Ow2 is in a decent spot right now but that never lasts long.
