This game has one of the worst "we ran out of money and time" plots I've seen since Xenogears.
The start of the game is very well fleshed out with tons of different conversations, puzzles and personality. It's a mystery story and the mystery is set up well.
Then like halfway through the game the puzzles stop completely, and shortly afterward the never-before-seen main villain shows up to tell you he's the villain, and within 5 minutes you push him and the mcguffin of the game off a dam and the game immediately goes to a voiceover and end credits.
If you haven't seen it look up a lets play or such, it's shocking how evident the "we need to get this done tomorrow" is on display.
