he was too focused on actively being a hardass,to the point where he comes across as very insecure and scared of an uprising, making an uprising inevitable. also who on earth would ever fuck rebecca? huge mistake.

His problem was being a shit villain in a Walking Dead story. Every villain is the same shit. A guy with a small community who is a tyrant and is cruel for no reason, leading to people hating him and then revolting and then he dies.
Every fucking villain.

This guy could have avoided all the problems by just not killing people in his community. If all these people did was defend themselves against bandits and kill in self-defense, there would be no issue.
Carver only had like 3 guys who were ok with him shit. The rest he either killed or they were ready to kill Carver or escape any chance they get.
All these shit-tier villains are just attempting to run a prison without having enough guards and resources to run a prison.

i think they tried to mimic the Governor but it was significantly less cool/impactful because the dude is doing all of this inside a hardware store lol. i see what they were doing, but the end result is a bit of a wet fart even though i generally like him/the area.

the entire cabin group were a bunch of useless pussies except for pete
carlos was useful as a doctor but i don't think he was anything too special at the end of the day
meanwhile clementine had already proven herself to him with their encounter in the cabin, both of them were clearly bullshitting the other and neither was backing down even when carver had every advantage in that situation
if he had found out about her arm he probably would've promoted her or something and really rubbed it in the faces of the cabin group

Well, if we're gonna nitpick, I guess he was kind of a jerk. But it's the zombie apocalypse. As jerks go, he was one of the nicer ones and his setup was good.

Also, might be a unpopular opinion but his mistake was being too hung up on the pregnant black lady whatshername and the folks that escaped his kingdom in general. He should've just let it go and knocked up some other lady instead if he wanted a kid.

He's like that coworker you had as a teenage that was a full grown man earning the same min wage but somehow thought he was hot shit, and when the world ended he immediately started roleplaying his dictator fantasy, in fact it's a miracle he made it 3 years into the apocalypse. Literally his only good call was seeing Clem was a high potential survivor.

Yeah, other than the bay door, they probably smashed a weak fence too. I think the stairs towards Carver's office also lead towards the roof so maybe that's how they even got there once inside.

the hype for the series also peaked with the pre release for s2, the season coasted off that good will until s2e4
400 days gave everyone a taste of what was to come (before we knew it was actually nothing) and the teaser trailer is honestly one of the best i've seen even over 10 years later, it's perfect in what it set out to do

Could've been pretty fun, more of a disparate group without any real core to keep them focused (like Rebecca's baby)
At the very least having a bunch of characters that you know can function as competent-ish individuals so Clem doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting
